Football Recap: Johns Creek Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Johns Creek unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 56-0 loss at the hands of the Cambridge Bears on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Brooks Malone had a dynamite game For Cambridge., rushing for 85 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Malone a new career-high. Craig Dandridge also helped out with an impressive 84 receiving yards.

Cambridge has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Johns Creek will be playing in front of their home fans against Centennial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cambridge, they will head out to square off against Creekview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
