Softball Game Preview: Sublette Larks vs. Stanton County Trojans

The Sublette Larks will head out on the road to face off against the Stanton County Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sublette will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Sublette is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Spearville with a sharp 16-9 win on Thursday. The Larks not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 8, 2025 (when they won 21-6).

Stanton County came out on top against Ashland on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Trojans walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Blue Jays.

The team relied heavily on Summer Kendrick, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Stanton County is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Sublette, their record is now 2-6.

Sublette might still be hurting after the 12-2 defeat they got from Stanton County in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Larks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
