Softball Recap: Zion-Benton Comes Up Short

Stevenson hit Zion-Benton with a eight-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Zee-Bees lost 15-4 to the Patriots. The Zee-Bees haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Zion-Benton now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Stevenson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Zion-Benton will welcome Mundelein at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Stevenson, they will venture away from home to challenge Carmel at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Corsairs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
