Basketball Recap: Toms River South Takes a Loss

Toms River South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-37 heartbreaker at the hands of the Toms River East Raiders. The matchup marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Toms River South's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Toms River East, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. It'll be Northside v. Southside when Toms River South and Toms River North meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Toms River South is facing Toms River North at the right time seeing as Toms River North is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Toms River East has already played their next match (against Pinelands Regional), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
