Basketball Game Preview: Regis Groff Fusion vs. DSST: Conservatory Green Hornets

Regis Groff can't be too worried about heading out to take on DSST: Conservatory Green: they just beat Manual at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Regis Groff came out on top in a nail-biter against Manual on Thursday, sneaking past 73-71.

It was another big night for James Murdock, who dropped a double-double with 33 points and ten rebounds. He has become a key player for Regis Groff: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least 15 points, but 8-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Javelle Taylor, who went 7-for-15 en route to 18 points and five steals.

Meanwhile, DSST: Conservatory Green didn't have too much trouble with DSST: Cedar on Thursday as they won 72-55. The Hornets pushed the score to 61-40 by the end of the third, a deficit the Falcons cut but never quite recovered from.

Regis Groff is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.4 points over those games. DSST: Conservatory Green's win bumped their record up to 13-9.
