Softball Recap: Polk County Takes a Loss

Polk County came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-1 to the Patton Panthers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Polk County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mia Bradley, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Polk County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Patton, the win snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 5-13 record.

Polk County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-8 loss against Landrum on the 18th. As for Patton, they will challenge East Burke at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Panthers are facing the Cavaliers at the right time seeing as the Cavaliers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
