Softball Preview: Christian Academy-Louisville Centurions vs. Sacred Heart Valkyries        
        
		
            
 The Christian Academy-Louisville Centurions will head out on the road to  square off against  the Sacred Heart Valkyries at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Christian Academy-Louisville is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a three-game streak of away losses.
 Christian Academy-Louisville is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13  runs  on Monday, they were much more limited against Fern Creek  on Tuesday. They suffered a  tough 12-2 loss at the hands of the Tigers.
  Candice Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-2 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile,  it was close, but  on Wednesday Sacred Heart sidestepped Trimble County for  a  6-4 win.
  Sadie Hayes made a splash no matter where she played. She  pitched 2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Hayes was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with two  RBI.
 In other pitching news, Sacred Heart got a great performance from  Lindsey Franz as she  didn't allow a single  earned run over 4.2 innings pitched.
 Back at the plate,  Isabella Boyd was  incredible,  scoring three  runs while going 4-for-4.  Hadley Dierking was another key contributor,  going 2-for-4 with a  stolen base and two  RBI.
 Christian Academy-Louisville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Sacred Heart, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight games,  which provided a massive bump to their 13-9-1 record  this season.
 Christian Academy-Louisville came out on top in a nail-biter against Sacred Heart  when the teams last played  back in April of 2022, sneaking past  7-6. Will Christian Academy-Louisville repeat their success,  or does  Sacred Heart have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
