Wes Burford continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his eighth-straight game with at least 143 rushing yards. He rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns.
Burford is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Sierra on Friday. When Burford last faced the Timberwolves back in September of 2023, he rushed for 287 yards and four touchdowns.

Joey Alcutt Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Joey Alcutt of Central Catholic. Alcutt rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. He is becoming a predictor of Central Catholic's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't).
Unfortunately for Oakdale, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Alcutt. When Alcutt last faced the Mustangs back in October of 2023, he picked up 72 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 30 yards and a touchdown.
