Academy for Academic Excellence is 9-1 against Academy of Careers & Exploration since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagle at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Academy for Academic Excellence has three straight victories, Academy of Careers & Exploration has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Thursday, Academy for Academic Excellence made easy work of Excelsior Charter and carried off a 3-0 win.

Academy for Academic Excellence never let Excelsior Charter on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-3, 25-11, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Academy of Careers & Exploration came up short against Big Bear on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Academy of Careers & Exploration was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-23, 25-18.

Academy of Careers & Exploration's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Academy for Academic Excellence, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.

Everything went Academy for Academic Excellence's way against Academy of Careers & Exploration in their previous meeting back in September, as Academy for Academic Excellence made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Eagle have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
