Football Recap: Solvay Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Solvay lost against Cazenovia back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bearcats lost to the Lakers at home by a 28-12 margin. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 310th, while the Lakers are ranked 103rd).

Robert Livingston was his usual excellent self, throwing for 238 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 100 yards for Cazenovia. That's the most passing yards Livingston has posted since back in October of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Solvay and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Cazenovia, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Solvay is set to take on their familiar foe Bishop Ludden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Cazenovia will challenge rival Westhill at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
