Softball Recap: Danville Ironmen vs. Bloomsburg Panthers
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Danville). They were the clear victors by a 20-1 margin over the Bloomsburg Panthers on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Ironmen needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Jillian Lowe made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in May of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Danville let Breece Wilson and Peyton Litwin run wild. Wilson scored a run while going 2-for-2, while Litwin scored three runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-1. Another player making a difference was Ava Koser, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.
Danville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bloomsburg only posted a batting average of .111.
Danville's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Bloomsburg, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
