The Frenship Tigers will face off against the Midland Legacy Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
On Friday, Frenship earned a 42-31 win over Midland. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 263rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chase Campbell was his usual excellent self, picking up 143 receiving yards and three scores, while also punching in one touchdown on the ground. What's more, he racked up 137.5 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Quaid Ferris was another key passer, throwing for 294 yards and four TDs.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midland Legacy). They took down San Angelo Central 58-42 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won six in a row.
Midland Legacy's win came from a few key players Frenship will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was JP Reyes, who threw for 478 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per attempt. Caden Ellis was Reyes' top target, picking up 146 receiving yards and three scores.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Midland Legacy, adding 22 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Nic Moore, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Midland Legacy's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Frenship, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Frenship skirted past Midland Legacy 51-48 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rebels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
