Flag Football Recap: St. Charles East Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The St. Charles East Fighting Saints came up short against the St. Edward Green Wave on Saturday and fell 32-20. The Fighting Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Edward's receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by Savannah Lynch and Layne Dawson. Lynch gained 151 total yards and three touchdowns while Dawson picked up 136 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 136 receiving yards gave Dawson a new career-high. St. Edward also got help from Sarah Gurley, who showed off her sure hands for 84 receiving yards.

St. Charles East's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for St. Edward, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

St. Charles East does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Edward, they will challenge Lake Park at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
