Basketball Recap: Carroll Comes Up Short

Carroll lost against Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Carroll Tigers took a hard 49-31 fall against the Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial Eagles. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial found their leader in sophomore Zoe Perry, who went 8 for 18 on her way to 18 points in addition to six boards and five steals. Perry is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games she's played. Savannah Rencher was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-16.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Miller the next time they take the court. Carroll will host Miller at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial will host them at 6:15 p.m. on February 4th.
