Softball Recap: Mt. Vernon Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Mt. Vernon's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Heritage Hills Patriots on Tuesday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Mt. Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Heritage Hills, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Vernon will welcome Pike Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Heritage Hills, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Daviess County at 5:30 p.m.
