Auburn strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Galax Maroon Tide a 9-0 shutout. Give the Eagles' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Auburn let Leah Wimmer and Kaylen Mitcham run wild. Wimmer went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Mitcham went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Ramrattan, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Auburn's win bumped their record up to 17-0. As for Galax, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Auburn will face off against Blacksburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bruins have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.5 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Galax, they will take on Rural Retreat at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
