Football Recap: Axtell Comes Up Short

Axtell had lost four straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 0-8 to make it five. They were dealt a 62-8 loss at the hands of the Franklin Flyers. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Flyers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

As for Franklin, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-4. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Calvin Carraher had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 152 yards and four scores on only nine carries, while also throwing for 61 yards and a pair of TDs. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in August. Caiden Peterman was another key player, rushing for 75 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

As of now, neither Axtell nor Franklin have any future games scheduled.
