Baseball Recap: Bakersfield Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Van Buren, Bakersfield was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Hartville Eagles. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered an 8-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Bakersfield has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Hartville, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bakersfield will face off against Thayer at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hartville, they will challenge Licking at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
