Baseball Recap: Argyle Comes Up Short

Argyle had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 4-5 to make it five. They fell just short of the Corinth Riverhawks by a score of 12-11. If the Scots were looking for revenge after losing 10-3 to the Riverhawks when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Corinth, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Corinth's part, the team relied heavily on Dylan Halliday, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most stolen bases Halliday has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Jack Halliday, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Argyle will challenge rival Lake George at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Corinth is set to take on their familiar foe Fort Ann at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
