Volleyball Recap: Lillah Shue and Maddie Breshears Secure Win for Excelsior Springs + How To Watch

Excelsior Springs barely beat Lexington the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Minutemen on Thursday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Minutemen recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Excelsior Springs walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-20, 25-14, 25-21.

Leading Excelsior Springs to victory were Maddie Breshears and Lillah Shue. Breshears had ten digs and one assist, while Shue had 12 digs, five kills, and three aces. What's more, Shue racked up 15 assists, the most she's had over her last six games.

They weren't the only good server: Excelsior Springs was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Excelsior Springs' victory bumped their record up to 3-10-1. As for Lexington, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Excelsior Springs will be playing at home against Lawson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lexington, they will head out to challenge Harrisonville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
