Basketball Recap: Onalaska Comes Up Short

After flying high against La Crosse Logan last Thursday, Onalaska came back down to earth. The Onalaska Hilltoppers had to suffer through a 82-54 loss at the hands of the Lake Mills L-Cats. The game marked the Hilltoppers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

The defeat snapped Onalaska's winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 12-3 record. As for Lake Mills, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Onalaska will face off against La Crosse Central at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. La Crosse Central will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Onalaska surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lake Mills, they will square off against Lodi at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Mills knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 contests -- so hopefully Lodi likes a good challenge.
