Ridgeview has gone 8-2 against Abingdon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Ridgeview Wolfpack will venture away from home to take on the Abingdon Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Ridgeview is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Union just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 51-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears.

Meanwhile, Abingdon unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 53-46 to Fleming. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Colonels are ranked fourth).

Ridgeview's loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-4. As for Abingdon, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.

Ridgeview beat Abingdon 64-54 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ridgeview since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
