La Feria and Port Isabel are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tarpons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. La Feria will be strutting in after a victory while Port Isabel will be coming in after a loss.

Meanwhile, Port Isabel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Hidalgo, falling 17-1.

The victory made it two in a row for La Feria and bumps their season record up to 7-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Port Isabel, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Port Isabel's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: La Feria hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .359. It's a different story for Port Isabel, though, as they've only averaged .151. Will they be able to contain La Feria's hitters?

Everything went La Feria's way against Port Isabel in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as La Feria made off with a 20-2 victory. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Tarpons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
