Softball Recap: Hamilton County Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Hamilton County proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 11) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Carmi-White County Bulldogs. Winning may never get old, but the Foxes sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Colebie Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits.

At the plate, Saylor Brown was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Emery Hart was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

The win got Hamilton County back to even at 15-15. As for Carmi-White County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-13.

Hamilton County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
