Vance County won the last time they faced J.F. Webb and things went their way on Friday too. The Vance County Vipers came out on top against the J.F. Webb Warriors by a score of 48-41. Given the Vipers' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while the Warriors are ranked 389th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Vance County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Destiny Timberlake out in front who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Queenie Whittler, who earned 11 points.

J.F. Webb's loss came despite strong showings from Jasey Lee and Sajohnna Alston. Lee scored 14 points, while Alston had 12 points.

Vance County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for J.F. Webb, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-11-1 record this season.
