Volleyball Game Preview: Shelbyville Golden Bears vs. New Castle Trojans

The Shelbyville Golden Bears will head out to face off against the New Castle Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Shelbyville turned things around against Irvington Preparatory Academy on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Irvington Preparatory Academy 3-2.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Shelbyville who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 16-25, 25-13, 17-25, 15-10.

Meanwhile, New Castle earned a 2-0 victory over Non Varsity Opponent last Wednesday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: New Castle took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15.

Shelbyville's record is now 6-12. As for New Castle, their record now sits at 2-3.
