Baseball Recap: Wellborn Takes a Loss

Wellborn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Brewbaker Tech Rams, falling 17-7.

Ashton Woodard was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Wellborn's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Brewbaker Tech, they moved to 5-13 with that victory, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wellborn will square off against Gaston at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Brewbaker Tech, they will face off against Bullock County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bullock County has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.57 runs per game on average), something Brewbaker Tech will no doubt try to take advantage of.
