Volleyball Recap: La Salle Institute Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against La Salle Institute, but Marissa Mackay wouldn't allow it. The Cadets blew past the Golden Knights 3-0 on Friday thanks in part to Mackay, who had ten digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant La Salle Institute was: they took every set by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-11, 25-10.

La Salle Institute has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6-2 record this season. As for Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.

La Salle Institute didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 1-1 tie against Schoharie on the 18th. As for Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Cohoes on the 20th.
