Baseball Recap: Reedley Takes a Loss

Reedley suffered their closest defeat since March 27, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Red Bluff Spartans by a score of 7-5. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2016.

Rocky Garcia was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Reedley has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season. As for Red Bluff, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-8.

Looking ahead, Reedley will challenge Edison at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Red Bluff, they will take on Central at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans are facing the Grizzlies at the right time seeing as the Grizzlies are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
