Liberty has gone 8-2 against Hazen recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Patriots will square off against the Highlanders at 8:00 p.m. Hazen took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Liberty, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Liberty turned things around against Mercer Island on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Islanders.

Ryan Boehm spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Connor Mayer, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Griffin Ellsworth was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Hazen was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to Bothell. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Highlanders were not able to get on the board.

Hazen saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ian Westendorf, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Hazen has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Liberty, their win bumped their record up to 6-13.

Liberty couldn't quite finish off Hazen in their previous meeting on April 4th and fell 3-1. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
