Basketball Recap: Wayne County Takes a Loss

Wayne County lost against Ware County two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wayne County Yellow Jackets took a 37-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ware County Gators. While losing is never fun, the Yellow Jackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Gators are ranked 44th).

Wayne County's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Ware County, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wayne County will head out to face off against Perry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ware County, they will venture away from home to square off against Woodville-Tompkins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
