Softball Recap: Mount Pleasant Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

While Mount Pleasant put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Gray Stone Day. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Knights. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won six games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Mount Pleasant is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Gray Stone Day, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Mount Pleasant Tigers take on Southwestern Randolph Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Mount Pleasant 3.9, Southwestern Randolph 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Gray Stone Day, they will head out on the road to face off against South Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
