Soccer Game Preview: Workman vs. Edgewood

The Workman Lobos will challenge the Edgewood Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Workman's offense. They came up short against Pomona on Wednesday, falling 11-0. The loss continues a trend for Workman in their meetings with Pomona: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Edgewood didn't have quite enough to beat Ganesha on Wednesday and fell 2-1.

Edgewood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Workman, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

Workman suffered a grim 18-0 defeat to Edgewood in their previous matchup back in January of 2025. Can the Lobos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
