Lake Oconee Academy waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Putnam County War Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Titans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lake Oconee Academy took both sets by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-6.

Mackenzie King paced Lake Oconee Academy's offense, picking up four kills. King got some help from Emma Dimascio and her nine assists. Dimascio and King didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with eight apiece.

Despite the loss, Putnam County still got an impressive performance from Bernicia Harris, who had nine digs and four assists.

Lake Oconee Academy's win bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Putnam County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.
