Volleyball Recap: American Fork Wins Going Away Against Farmington

The American Fork Cavemen made easy work of the Farmington Phoenix on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

American Fork never let Farmington on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-12, 25-14.

Macy Melville paced American Fork's offense, picking up 12 kills. Melville got some help from Brynn Murray and her 15 assists. Melville also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ellie Dickey, racking up five apiece.

American Fork's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Farmington, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. American Fork will welcome Westlake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Farmington, they will face off against Corner Canyon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
