Volleyball Recap: St. Joseph Christian Comes Up Short

St. Joseph Christian suffered their biggest loss since September 4th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the West Platte Bluejays. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bluejays apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While St. Joseph Christian had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-22, 25-21.

St. Joseph Christian's loss dropped their record down to 10-5-1. As for West Platte, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. St. Joseph Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chillicothe at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for West Platte, they will head out to take on Lathrop at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
