Elkton/Lake Benton can't be to happy about their upcoming road match considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Tuesday. They received a blow as they fell 59-40 to Castlewood. The Elks' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Iroquois/Lake Preston had to suffer through a 69-37 loss at the hands of Wolsey-Wessington. Iroquois/Lake Preston has struggled against Wolsey-Wessington recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Elkton/Lake Benton strolled past Iroquois/Lake Preston in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 60-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Elkton/Lake Benton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
