Baseball Recap: Miami Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Miami's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to the St. John Paul II Catholic Lions, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Vandals just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row.

Miami saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Gore, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Miami's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for St. John Paul II Catholic, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miami will square off against Globe at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. John Paul II Catholic, a feisty cat fight will be fought as St. John Paul II Catholic Lions face off against Kingman Academy Tigers at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Their pitchers better be ready for this one: Kingman Academy has averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
