Basketball Game Preview: Klein Cain Hurricanes vs. Klein Bearkats

The Klein Cain Hurricanes will head out to face off against the Klein Bearkats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Klein Cain is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 80-48 win over Magnolia West. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Hurricanes as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Klein had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They took down the Bulldogs 65-49. Given the Bearkats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 331st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 789th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Klein's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-13. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Klein Cain, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-21.

Klein Cain came up short against Klein when the teams last played back in January, falling 55-50. Can Klein Cain avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
