Max Langer posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Saturday. He struck out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

Even though Langer couldn't lead Nichols over St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
