Basketball Recap: Somerset Takes a Loss

Somerset was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They took a 50-31 bruising from the Wayne County Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Briar Jumpers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Cardinals are ranked 75th).

Somerset's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Wayne County, their win bumped their record up to 13-11.

Looking ahead, Somerset will face off against Metcalfe County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wayne County, they will square off against Whitley County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
