Softball Recap: Sterling Comes Up Short

Sterling lost to Austin back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Raiders lost 18-1 to the Mustangs. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Austin, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Sterling will head out to challenge Madison at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Marlins have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.82 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Austin, they will take on Milby at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Buffaloes have averaged an impressive 12.2 runs per game this season.
