Football Recap: Bluffton Beats Bishop England for Their Third Straight Victory + How To Watch

Bluffton waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Bishop England Battling Bishops by a score of 31-24. For the Bobcats, this counts as revenge for the 28-24 victory the Battling Bishops walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Aedan McCarthy continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 231 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 47 yards and one score. Kordell Holley helped out on the ground, rushing for 92 yards and a rushing touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bluffton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 220 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August.

Bluffton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Carnell Warren and Amare Patterson. Jacobi Saunders was another major factor on D, making 14 total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending one pass.

Bluffton's record now sits at 7-2. As for Bishop England, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season.

Bluffton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 28-21 win against May River on the 30th. As for Bishop England, they have also already played their next contest, a 55-0 victory against Colleton County on the 31st.
