Baseball Recap: Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Viera, Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds, sneaking past 7-5. The win was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Geyson Hammond looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Roman Carlson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-6. What's more, he posted four hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Lucas Kapatoes also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Lincoln Park Academy, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy will host Harmony at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harmony will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lincoln Park Academy, they will welcome Vero Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vero Beach is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
