Basketball Game Preview: Belleview Christian Bruins vs. Estes Park Bobcats

The Belleview Christian Bruins will face off against the Estes Park Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Belleview Christian is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Front Range Christian just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 57-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. While the Bruins didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Falcons 14-10 in the first quarter.

Despite the defeat, Belleview Christian had strong showings from Justus Cunningham, who posted 15 points in addition to seven boards and six assists, and Collin Polson, who went 8 for 18 en route to 21 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Cunningham a new career-high in steals (six). Alex Prihodco was another key player, putting up six points.

Meanwhile, Estes Park came up short against Dawson School on Wednesday and fell 65-57. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Estes Park now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Belleview Christian, they now also have a losing record at 7-8.
