Football Recap: Laurel Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Laurel unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 51-42 to the Springbrook Blue Devils on Saturday. While the Spartans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Blue Devils 14-7 in the first quarter.

Laurel and Springbrook will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Spartans see the field they'll take on Parkdale at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Springbrook, their break will end when they face Einstein at 6:30 p.m. on September 5.
