Baseball Recap: Buffalo Valley Takes a Loss

Buffalo Valley fell victim to Wilburton and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 14-0 to the Wilburton Diggers. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Buffaloes' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

This is the second loss in a row for Buffalo Valley and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Wilburton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coming up, Buffalo Valley will venture away from home to face off against Leflore at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Buffalo Valley has given up an average of 10 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Wilburton, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-0 win against Quinton on the 11th.
