Preview: Bethel Bison vs. South Kitsap Wolves
The Bethel Bison will be playing in front of their home fans against the South Kitsap Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bethel comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Thursday, Bethel took a serious blow against Curtis, falling 96-54. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bethel in their matchups with Curtis: they've now lost seven in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Reginald Carr, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malik Sidbe, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, South Kitsap narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Peninsula 52-50. Given South Kitsap's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while Peninsula is ranked 138th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sumner's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Bethel's defeat dropped theirs to 0-2.
