Softball Recap: Walther Christian Academy Beats Cristo Rey Jesuit for Their Third Straight Win

Walther Christian Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Cristo Rey Jesuit on Wednesday. The Broncos put the hurt on the Cristeros with a sharp 14-1 victory. Considering the Broncos have won four matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Selah Argueta was incredible, firing off three home runs and seven RBI while going 3-for-4. Those three home runs gave her a new career-high. Isabella Rosado also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

The win was the third in a row for Walther Christian Academy, bringing their record up to 5-7. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-2 record.

Coincidentally, Walther Christian Academy and Cristo Rey Jesuit will both be playing Northtown the next time they take the field. The Broncos will head out to face the Pumas at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Cristeros will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
