Volleyball Recap: Manning Comes Up Short

Manning managed to slip by Mullins the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Monarchs came up short against the Auctioneers on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Monarchs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Auctioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 27-25, 25-21.

Manning has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. Mullins' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Manning is set to face off against their familiar foe Atlantic Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mullins will take on rival East Clarendon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
